Library collections may be consulted in the reading room.

Reference books and a selection of scientific journals and current periodicals are available for consultation in the reading room. All other materials (books, brochures, periodicals, newspapers, records and audio-visual materials such as photographs, posters, prints, films, etc) are kept in closed stacks. These documents and materials may be ordered upon completion of request forms.

Please complete one request form per book or brochure. For periodicals more than one volume per title may be ordered upon completion of one request form.

Maximum waiting time to collect library materials: ten minutes.

Amsab-ISH holds all issues of the newspapers Vooruit (31 August 1884-30 November 1978) and De Morgen (1 December 1978- ). However, paper issues of the daily Vooruit are no longer available for consultation, as they are ravaged by time and affected by acid decay. Volumes are tied up and stored in separate stacks. Both collections have been preserved on microfilm. Microfilms may be consulted in the reading room.

In the meantime a considerable amount of periodical collections has been preserved on microfilm.
